Balto: Chief Marketing Officer

Balto is looking for a visionary marketer with exceptional tactical skills to craft and execute Balto’s 5-year marketing vision. Balto is looking to bring on board our first Chief Marketing Officer-- a senior marketing director who’s “done it before” and wakes up thinking about growing companies from $10MM in revenue to $50MM and beyond.

Balto’s Chief Marketing Officer will collaborate with Balto’s CEO to define with crystal clarity who Balto’s customer is, define clear customer segments and strategies for targeting them, establish the foundational elements of Balto’s brand, prioritize marketing resources among Balto’s various paid and organic marketing channels, guide the work of Balto’s Marketing & Strategy managers, and most importantly, take chief responsibility for infusing Balto’s “magic” into every communication we have with the market.

Balto is at a particularly critical point in our company’s growth: Balto has invented a technology that no one else in the world has been able to replicate. Balto monitors both sides of sales conversations and recommends to sales reps on their computer screens what they can say to close each deal… live while the customer conversation is actually happening. We call this “real-time guidance”.

Other companies have ventured into real-time guidance for sales reps, and none of them have been able to implement their technology with any meaningful degree of success. Balto has created something truly unique and cutting edge.

Preferred Requirements

  • Director, VP, or C-Level marketer that grew an organization from less than $10MM to past $25MM in revenue.
  • Exceptional strategic and tactical knowledge of digital and social marketing tools.
  • A developed and refined playbook for establishing new categories (or piggybacking off established ones) and establishing the organization as the clear market leader.
